Serve Fiji Foundation is a Registered Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC), and under its registration with the ACNC, Serve Fiji Foundation is authorized to issue Deductible Gift Receipt (DGR). In other words, all donations to Serve Fiji Foundation 0f $2 or more, is tax deductible.
It is also registered as an Association with the NSW Department of Fair Trading and holds Authority to Fund Raise under the NSW Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 (CFN/21616).
SFF is a young and determined not-for-profit association made up of a group of ex-students and teachers of Swami Vivekananda College (SVC), devotees of Ramakrishna Mission, former residents of Fiji, and many local Australian supporters with an empathy for Fiji
SFF supports the Ramakrishna Mission, Fiji, by donating funds, time, talents and resources in providing aid to the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged, and assist underdeveloped communities in Fiji, to improve their quality of life physically, mentally, and spiritually.
SFF was officially launched on Saturday 17th July 2010 at 85 Bland St, Ashfield, the former Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, and conducted by Swami Damodaranandaji, a former Fiji Mission Swami. In attendance were Swami Tadanandaji from Fiji, and Swami Atmeshanandaji of Sydney also to bless the occasion. Also, in attendance were some 40 other members.
